ABOUT US

Hi there – I’m New Zealand artist Helene Hall. I live in Putiki close to the mighty Whanganui awa – a quick walk away from the beautiful Whanganui city centre with my husband Graham and our three dogs.  Living by the awa is such a privilege and inspiration – so much so that we opened a gallery showcasing New Zealand art and gifts!

Why did we call ourselves Eightyeighty Putiki? Good question! It's actually the address for the property and is my lucky number. We were married on the 08.08.2008 so it kind of made sense to stick with the lucky number. The building has a rich history in the community and we feel very privileged to be here. Over the buildings 110 year life, it has been a dairy, a ceramic studio, a glass studio, a home, a gallery collective and now a gallery specialising in New Zealand art and gifts.

Our product range is an amazing collection of original art, gifts, jewellery and homewares that we have carefully selected for our customers to enjoy.

We are always on the lookout for new and interesting artists and makers to join us - if you have something new to offer we would love to hear from you

If you would like to pop in and see us "in real life"  you can also enjoy a cup of delicious coffee made with lots of love while you shop.

Ngā mihi – Helene and Graham
